Cueto (11-6) was brilliant Saturday, allowing just four hits while walking three and striking out nine over seven scoreless innings.
The Reds' ace stepped up in a big way to help end the team's seven-game skid. Cueto was locked in with Gio Gonzalez all day in a classic pitcher's duel, but Cueto came out the victor thanks to Brayan Pena's RBI single in the fifth inning. His ERA now sits at 2.08, third best in the National League, and he's only one behind the N.L. leaders in wins. He'll travel on the road to take on the Marlins in his next scheduled start.
