Escobar (knee) is likely done for the season, the Associated Press reports. "I don't think it's anything serious, but enough to keep him out for any week of the season," manager Joe Maddon said of Escobar's injury.
He left the game after spraining his left knee while sliding into home during the third inning. Those in single-season leagues can safely move on from Escobar now, and the Rays will probably use a combination of Ben Zobrist, Sean Rodriguez and Nick Franklin at shortstop over the season's final games.
