The Brewers will likely exercise Yovani Gallardo's $13 million option for 2015, CBS Sports reports.
Gallardo has been a relatively consistent mid-3.00 ERA pitcher throughout his career, and 2014 was no exception (3.51 ERA). His strikeout numbers have dipped over the past two seasons to well under one strikeout per inning pitched, but he has managed to adjust to a drop in velocity to continue to have success. The team has the other four starting pitchers from this season still under contract, so exercising the option on Gallardo would likely mean the Brewers will have a similar rotation in 2015.
