Lee gave up three runs on nine hits while striking out four over five innings in Saturday's 10-6 loss to the Diamondbacks.
That's now two straight lackluster performances for Lee since being activated from the 15-day DL. He was in trouble for four of the five innings he worked, giving up at least two hits in those each of those four innings. Lee has now given up nine runs on 21 hits over 10.2 innings since returning to action after missing two months due to an elbow injury. Both Lee and manager Ryne Sandberg insist that the elbow isn't an issue and that it's simply just Lee building up arm strength again and working off some rust after missing two months. He'll look for better results when he takes on the Nationals in his next start.
