Outlook: Recovering from a torn ACL, Beckham played in just nine rehab games before a 15-game stint at Triple-A Durham to finish 2014. The results weren't great, but the sample size was simply too small to be meaningful. Arguably, Beckham's best full season in the minor leagues came with Durham in 2013 (.276/.342/.387), but it will be interesting to see if the Rays keep the former No. 1 overall pick in the organization heading into 2015. Now 25, the days of expecting Beckham to become an above average regular have long passed, but he may be able to capably back up both middle-infield spots if the Rays want to keep him around as a bench player. Unless he proves to be a late bloomer to display game power, Beckham's most useful asset at this point will likely be his ability to chip in as a basestealer, but he's facing a crowded depth chart with the Rays having Yunel Escobar, Nick Franklin and Hak-Ju Lee at their disposal.

Outlook: DeShields struggled in spring training in his second year attending major league camp with the Astros before reporting to Double-A Corpus Christi, where he was moved to center field full-time after spending the previous four seasons in the minors at second base. Unfortunately, the 22-year-old suffered a scary injury in a mid-April game after being hit in the face by a 90 mph fastball. Luckily, he only missed three weeks with a sinus fracture in his left cheek before returning to the Hooks' lineup. The second-generation speedster swiped 54 bases in 114 games, but regressed with his bat, hitting .236/.346/.360 with 14 doubles, two triples, 11 home runs and 57 RBI over 411 at-bats. An elite walk rate (12%) maintained a respectable OBP, however, giving DeShields plenty of opportunity to do what he does best. The Rangers pounced on DeShields when the Astros left him unprotected for the Rule 5 draft, and he'll try to secure a bench role for Texas during spring training as a versatile speedster.

Outlook: Rosario missed the first two months of the 2014 season while serving a 50-game suspension for his second positive test for a drug of abuse, and he went on to bat just .243/.286/.387 in 87 games between High-A Fort Myers and Double-A New Britain. He did salvage his season to a certain extent by hitting .300/.345/.410 in the Arizona Fall League. Rosario had drawn walks at a decent rate but saw a sharp decline in 2015. He does make good contact and has shown good power through his minor league career. However, the off-field problems and a lackluster minor league season saw his prospect status take a hit. He also permanently moved to the outfield after playing second base the year before. While Rosario may not be viewed as a cornerstone of Minnesota's rebuilding effort, a strong start to the 2015 season could still see him in the majors this summer.

Outlook: Lindsey struggled at Triple-A El Paso after being dealt to the Padres in July as part of the Huston Street deal with the Angels, hitting just .219/.270/.315 with two homers in 41 games. He has been young for his level throughout his development, but Lindsey became the Angels' top prospect by default during the season, as C.J. Cron was promoted to Anaheim and the farm system was already thinned out by other trades in recent years. Although his performance fell off with the promotion to the Pacific Coast League last season, Lindsey showed increased power in his first taste of Double-A in 2013 (17 homers, .441 slugging percentage), and he's been developing a more discerning eye at the plate as he's moved through the minors. He could see some time with the major league club this season, though Jedd Gyorko figures to stick at second with Will Middlebrooks coming over in the offseason to fill a hole at third.

Outlook: After a monster season in 2013, Travis saw his first action at Double-A Erie last season. He was derailed by a chest injury early in the season, but after returning to health and shaking off the rust, Travis proved that his 2013 campaign wasn’t a fluke. From June 1st on, Travis hit .321 with nine homers, 14 steals, 45 RBI and 51 runs in 324 at-bats for the SeaWolves. The diminutive (5-foot-9, 195 pounds) second baseman packs solid power for his size, decent speed and good baserunning instincts. He also provides solid defense at the keystone with a good arm and decent range. While Travis was climbing his way up the Tigers’ prospect rankings the past couple seasons, he was blocked long term by Ian Kinsler, so the team opted to ship him to Toronto in exchange for center fielder Anthony Gose. In Toronto, Travis has a more direct path to the majors, although it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Blue Jays assigned the 24-year-old to Triple-A to begin the season.

Outlook: The Rockies nabbed Wall, a high school infielder from Florida, with their Competitive Balance Round pick in June’s draft, inking him quickly and assigning him to their rookie-level club at Grand Junction. While there, Wall lived up to his billing as a player with advanced plate discipline (14.4 BB% over 188 plate appearances) and plus speed (18 stolen bases). As is often the case with most young players with slight builds, Wall figures to add a little more power over time, but it’s his ability to hit for contact, draw walks and wreak havoc on the basepaths that will drive his long-term value. Though Wall possesses the ranginess to play shortstop, a labrum tear suffered during his amateur days still seems to be compromising his arm strength, which could permanently relegate him to second base. For now, the Rockies will let his performance against advanced pitching dictate how quickly he progresses through their system. Look for the 19-year-old to spend the 2015 campaign at Low-A Asheville.
