U-M's Robinson back in -- at tailback

Denard Robinson was back in the starting lineup for Michigan on Saturday.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Denard Robinson was back in the starting lineup for Michigan on Saturday -- at tailback.

Robinson missed Michigan's past two games because of an elbow injury, and Wolverines coach Brady Hoke was coy as to his availability for Senior Day this week against Iowa.

Robinson received a standing ovation when he was introduced in pregame ceremonies, then drew another roar when he came onto the field for Michigan's first offensive play.

He took a pitch from Devin Gardner and ran for 3 yards, then caught a screen pass on his second play. Later in the drive, Robinson took some snaps at quarterback, with Gardner going back to wide receiver.

Michigan's top tailback, Fitzgerald Toussaint, was carted off the field on the first drive with what appeared to be a broken lower left leg. Toussaint was injured when he was tackled near the sideline by two Hawkeyes defenders. Replays showed his left shin appearing to snap.

At halftime, ESPN reported that Toussaint had been taken to UM Medical Center for treatment of a leg injury, and that he was listed in "good" condition.
