Suh may negotiate his own extension

File this under the "believe it when you see" category:
Ndamukong Suh is apparently considering negotiating a contract extension with the Detroit Lions by himself rather than having an agent do it all for him.
The rumors come after a report that Bernard Pollard negotiated his new deal for himself with the Tennessee Titans.
FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo sent out the following tweet Tuesday morning: "One other guy toying w/ idea of representing himself (with some guidance from others, including Roc Nation) is Ndamukong Suh."

Suh, an All-Pro defensive tackle, can become a free agent a year from now. Signing an extension this offseason would help the Lions' salary-cap status for the upcoming season by reducing Suh's current cap hit of $22.4 million for 2014.
Ian Rapoport, an analyst for the NFL Network, wondered in a tweet whether this idea of players negotiating their own deals was "a new (troubling) trend?"
Rapoport added, "Ndamukong Suh's extension will be very complex if he wants to maximize value. I hear Lions don't even want him to go it alone."
