According to a report on CBSsports.com, three Michigan players have been invited to the NFL scouting combine, which takes place later this month in Indianapolis.
The names are no surprise to anyone who has followed the Wolverines in recent years — wide receiver Jeremy Gallon and offensive linemen Taylor Lewan and Michael Schofield. Lewan is likely to go in the first half of the first round, while Gallon and Schofield are the only other draft prospects in what turned out to be a disappointing senior class.
All three players were originally recruited by Rich Rodriguez in one of his two final classes, and many members of the class have either left Michigan or aren’t expected to play at the NFL level.
The official list of participants will be released shortly before the combine begins on Feb. 22.
