The Detroit Red Wings re-signed center Louis-Marc Aubry to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Aubry, Detroit’s third round (81st overall) pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, appeared in 67 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins during the 2014-15 season. He matched career highs with 16 points, 52 penalty minutes and a plus-nine rating.
Aubry has skated in 231 career games with the Griffins since 2011-12, totaling 48 points and 167 penalty minutes. He has four points in 30 career postseason games, and contributed to the Griffins’ 2013 Calder Cup championship by recording 12 points in 64 regular-season games and appearing in 14 of the team’s playoff contests.
