Optimistic fan inks Lions as 2015 Super Bowl champions

On Friday the 13th, an incredibly optimistic NFL fan gets a tattoo proclaiming his favorite team -- the supposedly cursed Detroit Lions -- as this coming season's Super Bowl champions.

On Friday the 13th, an incredibly optimistic NFL fan got a tattoo proclaiming his favorite team -- the supposedly cursed Detroit Lions -- as this coming season's Super Bowl champions.

Forgive David Morian. The Grand Blanc, Mich., native is just 23 years old. He's still a little naive when it comes to the Lions.

These are the bumbling Lions who have never appeared in a Super Bowl and have won only one playoff game since their 1957 world championship.

The Lions who finished 4-12 just two years ago and then lost six of their final seven last season to let a division title and playoff berth slip away.

Through it all, Morian, like new coach Jim Caldwell, clearly believes the time is now.

The tattoo on his left leg features the Lombardi Trophy and a Lions' logo along with the words "Super Bowl" and "2015 Champs."
