Bobble blunder: Manufacturer awards Miggy with 'NL' MVP

The Tigers gave away 10,000 bobbleheads Friday night that depicted Miguel Cabrera holding a pair NL MVP awards.

DETROIT — Somewhere, Buster Posey and Andrew McCutchen are wondering what happened to their hardware.

The Tigers gave away 10,000 bobbleheads Friday night that depicted Miguel Cabrera holding a pair of Kennesaw Mountain Landis trophies — supposedly replicas of the ones he received for winning the 2012 and 2013 American League MVP awards.

Unfortunately, no one noticed in the process of making the bobbleheads that both trophies read "Most Valuable Player, National League" — awards that were actually won by Posey in 2012 and McCutchen in 2013.

The bobblehead manufacturer released the following statement through the Tigers: "Forever Collectibles takes full responsibility for this error and we apologize to the fans. We are certainly disappointed this happened."
