Trek signs Schleck brothers for 2014

U.S. cycling team Trek says it has signed Andy and Frank Schleck to its roster for 2014.

The Luxembourg brothers will compete in the major Tours and the three Ardennes classics - the Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallonne and Liege-Bastogne-Liege - among other races.

A former sponsor, Trek has now taken over a team that's competing as Radio Shack- Leopard-Trek until the year-end.

The brothers have contracts with the existing team, although Frank Schleck hasn't been racing since a one-year doping ban after testing positive for a diuretic during the 2012 Tour de France.

Trek VP Joe Vadeboncoeur says ''we're very excited to add two riders that bring the race experience and professionalism that Andy and Frank both have.''

Switzerland's Fabian Cancellara is also staying with the team.
