Sojasun cycling team to fold next year

The Sojasun cycling team will fold after this season because it failed to land a sponsor.

The team announced the decision on its website Monday.

In this year's Tour de France, Frenchman Julien Simon looked set to give Sojasun a stage victory when he surged ahead in the 14th stage. But he was caught with less than a mile to go and dropped back. Team rider Jerome Coppel finished 13th in the 2011 Tour de France.

The team manager is Stephane Heulot.
