LIEGE, Belgium (AP)

Philippe Gilbert shook off brothers Frank and Andy Schleck in an uphill sprint to win the Liege-Bastogne-Liege on Sunday, his fourth classic victory in two weeks.

Gilbert knew everyone would race to keep him from the title, yet the Belgian proved unstoppable with a final burst on the last straight to give the Schlecks little chance.

Frank Schleck finished second and Andy Schleck was third.

Gilbert was coming off victories in the Brabant Arrow and Amstel Gold race last week and the Walloon Arrow on Wednesday, before winning the biggest of the four races Sunday.
