West Indies wins toss, elects to field against Afghanistan

NAGPUR, India (AP) West Indies captain Darren Sammy won his fourth successive toss at the World Twenty20 and elected to field against Afghanistan in their last Group 1 match on Sunday.

Chris Gayle was rested and West Indies gave a T20 international debut to 24-year-old left-handed opening batsman Evin Lewis.

With six points, West Indies have already qualified for the semifinals after winning all three of their group matches.

Afghanistan, an associate member of the ICC, put up spirited performances in the Super 10 before losing to Sri Lanka, England and South Africa.

Afghanistan made two changes from the team that lost to South Africa, bringing in opening batsman Usman Ghani and fast bowler Hamid Hassan in place of Noor Ali Zadran and Shapoor Zadran, respectively.
