South Africa wins toss, bats 1st in last test vs England

CENTURION, South Africa (AP) South Africa captain AB de Villiers won the toss and opted to bat first in the fourth and final test against England at SuperSport Park on Friday.

The South Africans are aiming to restore some pride after already losing the series. England leads 2-0 and wrapped up its first series win over South Africa in 11 years in the third test last week.

There were five changes in the South Africa XI: Opening batsman Stephen Cook makes his debut, JP Duminy and wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock are recalled in the middle order, and spin bowler Dane Piedt and seamer Kyle Abbott also come in.

England replaced injured fast bowler Steven Finn with Chris Woakes.
