Lions give RB Joique Bell two-year extension

"I feel so many different emotions going through my body right now," Bell said in a quote posted by the Lions. "I don't know whether to laugh, cry, hug my mom or grab my son."
Bell’s contract is worth $7 million, including $4.3 million in guaranteed money, FOXSports.com has learned. The new money kicks in after the 2014 season, so on paper it’s a three-year deal worth about $9 million. The guaranteed money is more than veteran Reggie Bush received ($4 million) in his four-year contract extension last offseason.
After coming off his most productive season (650 yards, 8 TDs), Bell was a restricted free agent and the Lions had placed a second-round tender on him for the 2014 season. The tender was a one-year $2.187 million offer sheet.
Bell, 27, has proven to be a multi-dimensional running back, catching passes out of the backfield and running between the tackles. He'll now continue to share the load with Bush for the next couple seasons.
