GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Mike McCarthy is joining elite company in the history of the Green Bay Packers, officially having a local street named after him.
A vote by the Ashwaubenon Village Board passed to have Potts Avenue changed to Mike McCarthy Way. This will take effect sometime in the next year, with local businesses being given a bit of financial assistance by the Packers as they undergo the change of address.
McCarthy has been Green Bay's head coach since 2006 and has a 82-45-1 record in those eight seasons. The Packers have made the playoffs in six of the eight years, including the last five, winning Super Bowl XLV in the 2010 season.
