A vote by the Ashwaubenon Village Board passed to have Potts Avenue changed to Mike McCarthy Way. This will take effect sometime in the next year, with local businesses being given a bit of financial assistance by the Packers as they undergo the change of address.
McCarthy has been Green Bay's head coach since 2006 and has a 82-45-1 record in those eight seasons. The Packers have made the playoffs in six of the eight years, including the last five, winning Super Bowl XLV in the 2010 season.
Other Packers to have Green Bay-area streets named after them include Mike Holmgren, Vince Lombardi, Brett Favre, Reggie White, Bart Starr, Donald Driver and Don Hutson, among others.
