Vandy coach will contact fan's boss
The only thing better than calling out sick from work to go to a football game is to have someone else call for you, especially when that person is the team’s head coach.
The Vanderbilt football team opens its season at home against Ole Miss on Aug. 29, and when one diehard fan reached out to head coach James Franklin on Twitter about possibly missing the game, the coach said he’d be happy to contact his boss.
@jrdavis75 I really will call ur boss— James Franklin (@jamesfranklinvu) August 14, 2013
@jamesfranklinvu Thank you again CJF. Sent the info to your assistant.— JD (@jrdavis75) August 14, 2013
Now let’s just hope this fan’s boss doesn’t root for Ole Miss, otherwise Franklin's power of persuasion may not work.
