USC WR tweets that he’s leaving

A Twitter message from USC wide receiver Brice Butler on

Wednesday night indicated he is leaving the football program.

“Always will be a part of trojan nation!” Butler tweeted. “No

regrets, I just gotta go play fball, which isn’t happening here…

I love all yall! Always will”

In a later tweet, he said “Was not an easy decision but

evaluatin my future and what I want to do, it woulda been difficult

here at this point so I made my dec”

As a sophomore in 2010, Butler had only nine receptions for 112

yards and one touchdown. He had receptions in only seven of USC’s

13 games, playing behind senior Ronald Johnson and freshman Robert

Woods.

USC has oral commitments from two highly touted wide receivers

in 2011 — George Farmer Jr. and Victor Blackwell.
