South Carolina offensive lineman Kenny Davis was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman, WLTX-TV reported Friday.
Davis, 21, turned himself in to authorities in Richland County, S.C., Thursday night.
Police said Davis and a 21-year-old woman left a Columbia bar May 31 and went back to his apartment. The woman alleges Davis had sex with her without her consent.
Davis was still in custody Friday afternoon, facing a charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The Newberry, S.C., native started his career at South Carolina as a defensive lineman. The 6ft 3in 318-pound fifth-year senior transitioned to the offensive line last season, and is currently listed on the team’s depth chart as a backup guard.
