Clemson gives Bowden contract extension

Bowden's salary will remain the same at $1.1 million a year with an additional $300,000 in incentives. With the extension, Bowden's contract will run through the 2010 season.

The son of Bobby Bowden, the career leader in victories among major college coaches, led the Tigers to an 8-4 record and a berth in the Peach Bowl on January 2.
