Mack enters draft despite uncertainty

Butler junior guard Shelvin Mack is staying in the NBA draft.

The 6-foot-2 guard will forgo his final season at Butler despite uncertainty whether he will be a first-round pick, sources told FOXSports.com on Sunday.

According to several NBA executives, Mack could be selected late in the first round or in the second round. Sunday’s news sealed Mack’s earlier declaration that he likely would enter the draft.

Mack has been a key component for Butler as it advanced to the national championship game each of the past two seasons.
