Youngstown State beats Illinois-Chicago 75-62
The lead changed hands 13 times before Kamren Belin hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Youngstown State (10-8, 1-2) a 37-36 halftime lead.
The Penguins rocketed ahead on a 16-2 second-half run in which Ryan Weber scored back-to-back treys. The Flames (5-11, 0-2) went cold until Jay Parker made two layups, sparking a 10-2 run, drawing to within seven with 4:31 to play. But Belin again hit consecutive treys and the Penguins pulled ahead for the win.
The Penguins shot 58.3 percent from the field (28 of 48) to 38.2 percent for the Flames (21 of 55).
Belin finished with 15, Bobby Hain and DJ Cole each had 12, and Perry made seven assists.
Kelsey Barlow led the Flames with 17 and Marc Brown added 11.
