South Florida 82, Bradley 63

''We put in a new motion offense,'' Fitzpatrick said. ''We were getting the ball, moving it from side to side, setting ball screens. That helped us out a lot. It made us look a lot more efficient on offense.''
''I thought that we tried to battle with them. We just struggled to finish in the lane,'' said Bradley coach Geno Ford, whose team finished 22 of 62 (35.5 percent) from the floor. ''Obviously, I think we're capable of playing better, but we caught them on a really bad night. It would have taken a major effort for somebody to come in here and beat them tonight with the way they played.''
South Florida held a 14-point advantage midway through the first half and led 43-26 at the break. The Bulls doubled their lead with a 21-4 run in the second half.
''We certainly played for 30 minutes our best game, and I think we caught Bradley on a little bit of an off night,'' South Florida coach Stan Heath said. ''Part of that was the pace that we played at. We played a lot faster. We pushed the ball down the court. We had a nice balance across the board from our team.''
