Eugene Teague, a 6-foot-9 senior center, registered his third straight double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds, pacing Seton Hall to its third straight victory, 71-55 over New Jersey Institute of Technology on Tuesday night.
Seton Hall (7-3) had four players in double figures. Brandon Mobley scored 18 points, Jaren Sina 17, and Sterling Gibbs added 16.
Sina led Seton Hall with a 12-0 run early in the second half. The freshman guard started the burst with a 3-pointer, Teague scored inside, and Mobley tapped in a missed shot before Gibbs completed a dash for a fast-break layup.
Damon Lynn had 16 points for NJIT (6-4), which now stands 0-5 against Seton Hall and 0-16 against Big East Conference teams. The Highlanders do not have a single senior on the team and started three freshmen and two sophomores.
