Alright, if I’ve got 13 scholarships, I’m not pulling a Georgetown and only using 10. I’m utilizing every one and putting together my 2010-11 Dream Team.

It’s not the top 13 players in the nation, but a group that would be nearly impossible to beat because it wouldn’t lack anything: Scorers, quality big men, big-time wings, lock-down defenders and intangibles.

Just about all these guys are high-character, low-maintenance, team-oriented, coachable – and talented. I’ve also picked someone to lead them to what would be a perfect season without a single setback.

STARTING LINEUP

F – Derrick Williams, Arizona: He’s such a versatile player on the offensive end – especially now that he’s expanded his range and is comfortable making shots from beyond the arc. Williams can score inside and out, can put it on the floor and is a match-up nightmare.

F – Chris Singleton, Florida State: The long and talented forward does just about everything – but he’s in my starting lineup primarily because of his length and ability to defend. Still, Singleton can score (15.2 ppg) and also make shots from the perimeter (40 percent from 3-point range).

C – Jared Sullinger, Ohio State: The slightly rotund freshman can score in the post, step out and make shots from mid-range and also gets work done on the glass. He’s still a work in progress, but I love his intensity and effort for a young kid.

PG – Kemba Walker, UConn: New York point guards are known for their toughness, but this kid brings far more to the table. His perimeter shot has improved dramatically, he’s developed into a terrific leader and his decision-making has improved as well. I’m comfortable with putting the ball in his hands.

SG – E’Twaun Moore, Purdue: Barely edged out Austin Freeman for the starting spot – and largely because he’s a better all-around player. Moore has a nice mid-range game, is an underrated defender and also mixes it up on the glass. Plus, he’s a team guy.

BENCH

G – Jimmer Fredette, BYU: He’s the ultimate combo guard. He can obviously score  – and is also a guy capable of setting up his teammates. He can come off the bench and spell either Walker or Moore. He edged out Duke’s Nolan Smith for a spot on the team.

G – Austin Freeman, Georgetown: I’ve called him the Silent Assassin since watching him for the first time as a sophomore in high school and that’s what he is: a guy that can just fill it up without saying a word. He’s a big, strong guard who can really shoot it from the perimeter and isn’t afraid to take the big shot. He’d be Moore’s backup at the two-guard spot.

F – Kawhi Leonard, San Diego State: He’s a guy who you don’t have to run a ton of plays in order for him to be successful. He’s strong and athletic – and is a relentless rebounder. Would probably be a junkyard dog-type on this team while he’s a go-to guy for the Aztecs.

BEAT THE EXPERT

Check out FOXSports.com college basketball writer Reid Forgrave's bracket and see how yours stacks up.

F – Draymond Green, Michigan State: Teams tend to get tight at times and you need a leader type that knows how to loosen things up. That would be one of Green’s roles, but he’s more than that. He’s a guy who can be a complementary scorer, makes his teammates better and also gets his share of boards.

C – Matt Howard, Butler: I know he’s undersized and gets in foul trouble, but I love his motor, work ethic and just what he stands for. I needed a backup big man and Howard wouldn’t complain about getting limited minutes behind Sullinger.

F – Jeffery Taylor, Vanderbilt: Love his athleticism, ability to defend and improved perimeter shot. Taylor can guard multiple positions, is deadly in transition and is shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc.

G – Marcus Jordan, Central Florida: He’s gotten the Knights off to an undefeated start, can play both guard spots, has displayed toughness this season while battling through an ankle injury – and he’ll also make sure the rest of the team doesn’t get in trouble with agents since he’s got a pretty hefty bank account and can help them out.

PG – Kyrie Irving, Duke: With the uncertainty of the toe, I wouldn’t have him penciled into the starting lineup – but would throw him as my 13th man just in case he gets healthy again for when it counts. This kid has a terrific feel for the game, can push it in transition and knows how to put pressure on the defense in the halfcourt. He’s a terrific, young all-around player.

COACH

Mike Krzyzewski: I’ve always said it would be a difficult choice between Coach K and Tom Izzo if I were starting a team, but I’m going with K here. The bottom line is the guy has accomplished everything – and he’s shown the ability to coach the world's best in the Olympics.

GRADUATE ASSISTANT

F – Robbie Hummel, Purdue: I’ve got to find a way to get him on the team somewhere. I was going to put him on as my 13th man, but Irving made far more sense – since there’s still a shot Irving could help this group on the floor. Hummel is a consummate teammate and would be ideal in this role while he rehabs his knee.
