Fordham 63, Princeton 60

Branden Frazier closed out his homecoming in style.
Frazier, who had two points in the first half, finished with 19 and contributed the assist on Ryan Canty's basket that gave the Rams (2-8) the lead for good at 61-60 with 8 seconds to play.
''Branden keeps getting better and better,'' Rams coach Tom Pecora said. ''I was happy for him. He went to school four blocks from here, where he grew up as a kid. So to come back here and play that way at Barclays is special.''
Frazier, who played at Bishop Loughlin High School, said he decided to ''attack to get into the lane and things opened up.''
''Ryan bailed me out on that last one,'' he said of Canty's go-ahead basket
Ian Hummer of Princeton (3-6) missed a layup with 3 seconds to go, and Bryan Smith of the Rams made two free throws with 1.2 seconds left. Hummer's 3-point attempt to tie hit the front end of the rim and bounced off the backboard at the horn.
Chris Gaston, ninth on Fordham's career scoring list and fifth in rebounds, returned after missing six games because of a left knee injury. He had 16 points and five rebounds in 32 minutes. Canty, who has averaged 14.2 points and 9.5 rebounds over his last four games, scored 12 points and had 15 rebounds.
Hummer led Princeton with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Will Barrett added 13 points for the Tigers, who were outrebounded 39-28.
''Down the stretch we made poor decisions,'' Princeton coach Mitch Henderson said. ''Our team has not found a way to take care of the ball.''
The Tigers have struggled at the ends of games this season.
''The last 5 or 6 minutes we look like a different team,'' Hummer said.
Princeton missed 14 of its first 16 3-point attempts and trailed 43-42 before Clay Wilson connected from long range and Barrett followed with another 3 for a 48-43 lead with 7:45 to play. Barrett, who came into the game shooting 13 of 26 from beyond the arc, ended the run with a 3 that gave the Tigers an 11-point lead.
Frazier started his closing run after the final media timeout, with the Rams trailing 56-46. He made a 3-pointer with 28 seconds left to bring the Rams to 60-59. Wilson missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 25 seconds left, and Frazier made the big pass 17 seconds later to take the lead.
