And the ride's not over
On Sunday night, Kevin Ware had surgery on his broken leg, with family tweeting out photos of him in his hospital bed. Also on Sunday night, the Louisville basketball program began making arrangements for a trip to Atlanta later this week, where they will face upstart Wichita State in the Final Four on Saturday. The Cardinals, the top-seeded team in the tournament, will enter the game as clear favorites. And they will enter the game with Ware on their minds and in their hearts — and his jersey in the locker room, even if he is unable to be there. But even if he cannot make it to Atlanta, his job is done — he led his team to the Final Four.
