Wide Receiver U? West Virginia commit Steven Smothers

Plenty of high school prospects want to become the next Kevin White.

West Virginia has had plenty of receivers make it to the pros. Kevin White is the most recent example, as he went No. 7 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft to the Chicago Bears. It's a position they've never had trouble recruiting, and Dana Holgorsen picked up another commit before the season.

Steven Smothers, a four-star prospect on Rivals, is a two-time All-Metro selection. His reasons for choosing West Virginia? Pretty simple.

“I think if you’re going to a school for three to four years, you’d better be comfortable,” Smothers said.
