Just hours after LSU defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao was arrested on battery and robbery charges in Baton Rouge comes this disturbing piece of information.

Quarterback Anthony Jennings and two other LSU football players found themselves in trouble with the law on Thursday. Jennings, 20, was arrested on charges that include unauthorized entry of a dwelling. Defensive lineman Maquedius Bain and cornerback Dwayne Thomas were also arrested on the same charges with Thomas facing an additional charge of burglary.

The Advocate in Baton Rouge is reporting that all three players entered an apartment that didn’t belong to them on Sunday to retrieve items that had allegedly been stolen from Jennings.

From the report:

“The arrests of Jennings, Thomas and Bain stem from an event Sunday. The three players and at least three more males entered a West Campus Apartment and broke into a bedroom, removing items from the room, a police report says. They did so with the presumed intent to retrieve items said to have been stolen from Jennings’ apartment on June 10 — a MacBook Air, three pairs of shoes and a PlayStation 4.”

LSU head coach Les Miles indicated on Thursday evening that all three players were suspended pending an investigation:

“We are still working with campus housing and the authorities to determine what exactly took place,” the head coach said in a prepared statement. “This is an ongoing investigation and our players will cooperate fully.”

All three were seen leaving East Baton Rouge Parish prison after being released on bond shortly after 8:00 p.m. ET.

Needless to say, Thursday was pretty eventful for the Tiger football program.

Jennings, a redshirt Junior, is the highest-profile of the four arrested on Thursday. He threw for 1,611 yards with 11 touchdowns compared to seven interceptions in 13 games as a sophomore last season. He’s expected to be the team’s starting quarterback this season.
