While many see South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier and his folksy attitude at SEC Media Days as the star of the show, Nick Saban is arguably the coach that moves the needle most these days at the league’s annual meeting.
The most discussed topic following Saban’s time at the podium was his issue with when underclassmen learn their NFL’s Draft grades. The subject is discussed here in great detail by FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman, but essentially, Saban seemed to suggest that the timing can be distracting to athletes still in competition.
Saban’s comments did not sit well with former NFL wide receiver and Michigan State star Plaxico Burress, who was coached by Saban in college and chimed in via Twitter:
