On Wednesday night, Missouri star freshman tackle Terry Beckner Jr. was arrested by the University of Missouri Police for alleged possession of marijuana.

Missouri head coach Barry Odom has already released a statement via Missouri Athletics — suspending Beckner Jr. indefinitely.

"I’m disappointed to learn of Terry’s actions," said Odom. We take this very seriously and in line with our department policies. Terry has been indefinitely suspended and will face team disciplinary measures."

Beckner Jr. was pulled over for driving without his headlights on. According to the MUPD, a strong odor of marijuana emanated from the vehicle. A bag was then found in the center console with the substance.

Beckner Jr. had a solid freshman campaign in Columbia. Although he played through a number of injuries, he was named as a Freshman All-American by FWAA, Sporting News, and USA Today.
