Report: Dorial Green-Beckham to play 2015 season at Oklahoma
SEP 02, 2014 8:45p ET
Dorial Green Beckam won't suit up for No. 4 Oklahoma in 2014, but he reportedly intends to stick around Norman for the 2015 season.
[Oklahoma receivers coach Jay] Norvell says Green-Beckham has been committed to practice and doing things right and has been attentive, even on the field watching his teammates play in the opener.
And he's staying put.
"He's made a commitment to be here, he wants to go to school here and he wants to play football here at Oklahoma, so obviously we are going to help him improve here every day," Norvell said. "This is not a year off for him, he's out there working every day, he's helping on the scout team and he's also trying to improve his skills as a receiver, as well as the off the field things, so it's an important development time for him."
Beckham was dismissed from the Tigers football team after being charged in October 2012 with marijuana possession in Columbia, Missouri, and later pleading guilty to trespassing. Last month, Oklahoma was denied a waiver that would have made Green-Beckham eligible to play immediately.
Green-Beckham is reportedly taking classes at Oklahoma.
