Chris Petersen has fantastic quote on facing Alabama in the College Football Playoff

The College Football Playoff is set and while there was drama all night and into the morning Sunday, things turned out about how everyone expected. Clemson will face Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, while Alabama is headed to Atlanta to take on Washington in the Peach Bowl. The Huskies made it in over Big Ten champion Penn State.

Clearly the Huskies are fired up to be in the playoff, but make no mistake: Chris Petersen also knows that he's got a very tough challenge ahead of him in facing the Tide. And he wasn't afraid to have a sense of humor about it all.

In an interview with ESPN, Petersen was asked about fans who regularly hold up "We want 'Bama" signs, and how he felt, now that his team is actually facing them. His response?

I mean isn't "I didn't hold that sign up," just about the perfect response to the challenge that lies in facing 'Bama? It seems so, and credit Petersen for having a sense of humor about it.

He took it one step further when discussing how he and his team planned to prepare for the Tide.

Another great one-liner. Who knew Petersen had this kind of sense of humor?

He's going to need it, as the Huskies get ready to face the Tide.
