Desmond Simmons scored 13 points to lead Washington to a 74-51
win over Cal State Northridge on Thursday night.
Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten added 12 points each for
Aziz N’Diaye came off the bench to score 11 points and grab
seven rebounds. The Huskies center missed the previous two games
because of a right knee sprain.
Stephan Hicks led the Matadors (3-7) with 13 points.
The Huskies never trailed against Northridge after having their
32-game nonconference home winning streak snapped by South Dakota
State on Sunday.
C.J. Wilcox made a corner 3-pointer to put Washington up 47-21
early in the second half. Abdul Gaddy delivered the crosscourt pass
to Wilcox for his sixth assist of the night. Gaddy was a
distributor most of the night, finishing with eight assists and
five shot attempts.
