Manhattan rallies in second half to beat Fordham (Dec 10, 2016)

NEW YORK (AP) Zavier Turner scored all 15 of his points in the first half to keep Manhattan close, and Zane Waterman scored all 10 of his in the second in helping to rally the Jaspers over Fordham 60-53 on Saturday night.

A 3-pointer by Calvin Crawford gave Manhattan a nine-point lead, 57-48, with three minutes left. Fordham responded with five straight points but didn't score again in the final 46 seconds.

An 11-2 run, capped by five points from Waterman, gave Manhattan a 50-43 lead with 7:23 remaining.

Fordham led 32-28 at halftime despite Turner's 15 points.

Thomas Capuano also scored 10 points for the Jaspers (3-7), who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Chris Sengfelder, who made four 3-pointers, scored 14 points for Rams (5-6), who have lost five straight after a five-game winning streak.

The Jaspers lead the ''Battle of the Bronx'' series, 57-52. The series began in the 1911-12 season.
