BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) Jaylen Brown scored five points of his 17 points over the final 80 seconds and California held off a late surge to beat Arizona State 75-70 on Thursday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Golden Bears (13-6, 3-3 Pac-12) led by 14 midway through the second half before the Sun Devils stormed back to tie the game at 65 with 2:25 remaining.

California freshman Ivan Rabb made a tiebreaking free throw then blocked a shot at the other end. After Brown made one of two free throw attempts, the Bears blocked another shot and Brown followed with a fastbreak layup to make it 69-64.

Cal made 6 of 6 from the line inside 27 seconds to ice it.

Rabb finished with a season-high 20 points with eight rebounds and six assists for the Bears.

Obinna Oleka had 14 points and six rebounds, while Eric Jacobsen added 10 points and seven rebounds for Arizona State (11-8, 1-5).
