Arkansas Men's Basketball Heads on the Road To Take On Mizzou

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 1:25 a.m. ET

The Arkansas men’s basketball team heads on the road to take on Missouri.

The Arkansas Razorbacks basketball heads on the road for a rematch with the Missouri Tigers. The last time the teams played it ended with a 92-73 Razorback win at Bud Walton Arena. Since then Arkansas has gone on to reach a 17-5 record while the Tigers are sitting at 5-16.

One thing that has remained the same since that last game is what I said for their first matchup. This continues to be an absolute must win for Arkansas. A loss to Missouri would probably be the death of any hopes the Hogs have to make the NCAA Tournament.

Currently, the Hogs are favored -5.5 in the spread according to Oddsshark.com. For the season, Arkansas is 10-10 against the spread and MIZZOU is 7-13-1, which includes 5-9 at home.

The only things that the Tigers are better than the Hogs at, according to the oddsshark.com smart chart, is overall defense and defensive rebounds. Although Missouri is only allowing 71.9 points per game, Arkansas has the ability to easily outscore that.

The key to Arkansas being able to have a repeat of the previous matchup is rhythm. The Hogs have got to get into a groove early and maintain that throughout this game. The tale of two halves kind of season they have had has caused a lot of nail biters, but for the Hogs, they need to string together a full 40 minutes.

Ok, so in reality, all Arkansas really needs to do to win this game is to get to the gym on time. Missouri is terrible. If I were to bet on this matchup, I would take Arkansas to easily win by more than 5.5 points. I am thinking that the Hogs take the Tigers down by around 17 points. Woo pig
