"They have a lot of ways to score easy in a close game," one high major coach said about the Heels. "They are good in transition, have size to throw it in and get fouled, are the best offensive rebounding team in the country."
"They have great experience and their versatility offensively is very hard to defend," a coach said. "They have three or four guys on the floor at all times that can really shoot it. To beat them you are going to (have to) be able to score the ball. Landon Lucas is the X-factor. He does all the dirty work and doesn’t get near the recognition he deserves. He makes huge plays for them late in games that seem to go unnoticed. And they have great guard play."
"(Head coach Jay Wright) demands that they defend, and they are versatile on that end," a high major coach that played Villanova said. "They can go with (Mikal) Bridges guarding the ball handler to (Josh) Hart, or (Jalen) Brunson or (Donte) DiVincenzo. Basically they have so much versatility, they can switch things and get out and pressure. He demands it from them all 40 minutes. That separates them from other teams."
