No matter what almost everyone says, golf can be a dangerous sport.

We saw proof of that during the second round of the Masters on Friday when defending champ Adam Scott almost got hit by a ball . . . that was struck by Rory McIlroy.

Here's what happened: Scott was getting ready to tee off on the fifth hole when McIlroy's tee shot on the par-3 fourth hole flew past the green and just missed hitting Scott.

McIlroy, by the way, recorded a double-bogey on the hole. Scott went on to bogey the fifth hole.
