Tom Brady to play Augusta National with Rory McIlroy in Masters prep

This is one of the perks of being a four-time Super Bowl champion, a future Hall of Fame quarterback and generally a well-respected nice guy.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and one-time estimated "8ish" handicap golfer will get to enjoy a round at Augusta National next week with golf’s No. 1 player, Rory McIlroy.

Though we all know Brady’s got a competitive streak in him: The Super Bowl champ has previously played Pebble Beach with Ricky Barnes and Vijay Singh, and beaten former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush (and Jim Nantz) in Maine.

"I don’t really feel any more anticipation this year than I do any other year," McIlroy told PGATour.com. "After Bay Hill, then I’m sure I’ll start to think about it a little bit more and start to, every practice session will be, you know, looking ahead and what shots I’ll need, and even asking the guys at The Bear’s Club to speed the greens up and cut the aprons at a certain height and all that sort of stuff."

It's early, but McIlroy already has one eye on Augusta
