Paul Heyman talks SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, more

Paul Heyman talks about this iconic image from WrestleMania 30 after Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker.

The best talker in the WWE joined "The Buzz with Jimmy Traina" to discuss Aug. 23’s SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar ending the Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak, how Dusty Rhodes helped him get his start in the business and much more.

The highlight of the podcast, however, comes 16 minutes in when I told Heyman that I had to wrap up the interview because of orders from WWE PR, who were on a tight schedule.

Heyman spent the next eight minutes hilariously refusing to end the interview ("Tell whoever’s wrapping you up, ‘GFY, I’m talking to Heyman and when I’m done, I’m done!’").

Before those eight minutes, Heyman passionately talks about his role as Lesnar’s manager ("I can honestly say this is the most fun I’ve never had").

He also broke down how he puts together his promos ("It may sound like a cliche, but my preparation for what I’m going to say starts the moment I’m done talking on a ‘Raw.’ When we were there two weeks ago on ‘Raw,’ the moment that promo ended, I already starting thinking, ‘OK, here’s what I gotta say in two weeks.").

He also talked about the famous reaction he had (seen above) after Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak in 2014 ("It was a legitimate expression of emotion from me because I understood no matter what we ever do, nothing’s gonna come close to this").

Listen to Heyman sound off on all these topics and more on the podcast below, and subscribe to "The Buzz" on iTunes and/or SoundCloud.
