And the Oscar goes to … Adam Dunn?

From the diamond to the red carpet.

White Sox slugger Adam Dunn is taking a quick break from spring training to attend Sunday’s Academy Awards.

Dunn is an investor in the production company that made Best Picture-nominee "Dallas Buyers Club," which stars Matthew McConaughey (up for Best Actor) and Jared Leto (nominated for Best Supporting Actor).

The designated hitter also had a bit part in the movie as a bartender.

White Sox manager Robin Ventura encouraged Dunn to make the trip from Arizona, but issued one demand.

"Everybody’s probably going to watch it to see if they can spot him," Ventura said on MLB.com. "Hopefully he wins. He has to go up if he wins, that’€™s part of the rules of going."
