Embiid isn't the first big man with promise to suffer an injury prior to hearing his name called for the NBA Draft. No, just a year ago UK freshman phenom Nerlens Noel owned that same distinction. Noel fell to the 6th pick in 2013 to the 76ers and has yet to play a minute in the NBA due to a desire to be 100 percent before taking the court. Noel tweeted after suffering an ACL tear in February 2013, 'Minor setback for a MAJOR comeback! I love you all and can't thanks y'all enough for the prayers.' Lucky for Nerlens, his draft stock didn't drop catastrophically and he found himself in the City of Brotherly Love.

Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin suffered a torn ACL in his right knee prior to the 2013 season in Chip Kelly's first season at the helm. His response? Maclin jumped right to Twitter to say, 'Appreciate all the love and support twitter fam...sad day but I have setbacks my entire life. Minor setback for a MAJOR comeback! #birdgang.' At least Maclin added a new spin on it with the addition of the hashtag.

Trent Richardson may have donned a new jersey in Indianapolis, but his use of the mantra dates back to his time with the Cleveland Browns. After missing four weeks due to a second knee surgery, Richardson told reporters, 'It's just a minor setback for a major comeback.' This phrase wasn't new to Richardson who also used it during his time with the Crimson Tide after facing LSU.
Jermichael Finley is mainly known for being a tight end for the Green Bay Packers, but has recently been in the news as he battles back from a neck injury suffered last season. Finley caused a positive stir for those beckoning for his services on the gridiron by tweeting, 'Minor SetBack 4 a Major #Comeback.' He also added a whole new dimension by including the comeback as a hashtag. Evokes memories of D Rose's #thereturn right? Don't worry, we'll get to that later.

While playing for the Lakers this past season, guard Xavier Henry employed his best rendition of the phrase in January during his bounce back from injury. Henry leaned on some simple mathematical skills by tweeting, 'Minor setbacks=MAJOR COMEBACK.. Persistance and Perserverance...#FAITH.'

Told you the former NBA MVP would make the list. Althought Derrick Rose didn't directly tweet the slogan, his teammate made the statement for him in December when hopes for his continued dominance seemed to decline. John Lucas III told the media after speaking with Rose, 'It's just a minor setback for a major comeback.' This remark is still waiting to be fulfilled as Rose sat out yet another season after suffering another knee surgery.
