Floyd Mayweather Jr. made a special announcement on his Shots account on Thursday, using a selfie to tell the Internet that he will be fighting Marcos Maidana again on Sept. 13.

The bout will be a rematch of the May 3 fight that Mayweather won in 12 rounds in a majority decision.

According to Mayweather’s Twitter, the fight will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Here’s his original announcement — a photo, with the following caption: "Mayweather vs. Maidana 2 on September 13, Live on Showtime PPV. #Mayhem"

Mayweather is undefeated in 46 fights, winning by knockout 26 times. His WBC and WBA Super World welterweight belts will be on the line.

Maidana has 35 wins (31 KOs) and four losses in his career. He was given credit for taking the fight to Mayweather in their first showdown; he said after the match that he thought he won and that Mayweather never hurt him. "He wasn’t that tough," Maidana said.

Punch stats showed Mayweather landing 230 of 426 punches to 221 of 858 for Maidana. It was the most punches landed by any fighter against Mayweather in 38 fights where punch stats were compiled.
