Any questions surrounding Silva's pound-for-pound greatness were answered at UFC 148 as the longest reigning UFC champion in history turned in a stellar performance against outspoken challenger Chael Sonnen in one of the most anticipated rematches of all time. By decimating Sonnen in the second round of their title clash, Silva recorded his fourth straight finish, 15th consecutive UFC win and 10th title defense, a record in the organization. Possible title challengers now include Hector Lombard, Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman, though Silva has clearly demonstrated that he's one step ahead of the rest of the 185-pound class.

One of the sport's hottest young stars, the UFC light heavyweight champion is coming off wins over a who's who of legendary 205-pound competitors, including Rashad Evans, Lyoto Machida, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua. With no visible weaknesses and an always-improving game, Jones (left) is poised to rule the division for years to come. A drunk driving charge has exposed some demons in Jones' personal life, but his performances in the Octagon have been nothing short of spectacular. Jones could add another legend to his list of victims as he defends his title against former Pride two-division champion Dan Henderson at UFC 151 in September.

Boxing 209 43 Fight Network MMA pound-for-pound rankings 31192595 Georges St. Pierre Georges+St.+Pierre Boxing

St. Pierre has been inactive for over one full calendar year, which has gradually caused his status as an elite pound-for-pound fighter to diminish. The fact remains, however, that St. Pierre is the greatest welterweight in history. Riding a nine-fight winning streak, St. Pierre is back to training full time at Montreal's Tristar Gym in anticipation of his return to the UFC this November. Barring any setbacks in training, the French-Canadian phenom should be back in action at UFC 154 defending his title against interim beltholder Carlos Condit.

The dynamic Brazilian has completely dominated the featherweight class since his North American debut in June 2008. With emphatic wins over Chad Mendes, Kenny Florian, Mark Hominick, Urijah Faber and Mike Thomas Brown, Aldo is running out of quality opponents. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and muay thai destroyer was expected to defend his title against unheralded contender Erik Koch at UFC 149, but an injury in training has caused the fight to be postponed. As a result, Aldo's opponent could change, but he will surely enter any title defense as the heavy favorite at this stage.

The UFC heavyweight champion notched his first successful title defense this past May, finishing former kingpin Frank Mir in the second round. Dos Santos is riding the most impressive winning streak in the history of the UFC's heavyweight division, defeating the likes of Cain Velasquez, Shane Carwin, Roy Nelson and Fabricio Werdum. While fans were salivating at a potential clash with Dutch powerhouse Alistair Overeem, that fight has been put on the backburner after Overeem failed a pre-fight drug screening. Dos Santos will have his hands full later this year as he faces Velasquez in an explosive rematch.

Boxing 209 43 Fight Network MMA pound-for-pound rankings 31195088 Ben Henderson Ben+Henderson Boxing

Flying under the radar for most of his career, Henderson has finally realized his potential as a top lightweight since joining the UFC in April 2011. A trifecta of wins over Mark Bocek, Jim Miller and Clay Guida earned Henderson a shot at Frankie Edgar this past February. In a thrilling five-round affair, Henderson outpointed the New Jersey native to win the coveted championship via unanimous decision. The close fight has resulted in an immediate rematch, which will headline UFC 150 this August.

The king of rematches returns this August as he challenges Ben Henderson for the UFC lightweight title that he lost in a close unanimous decision this past February. After a pair of wins over B.J. Penn and a successful end to his trilogy with Gray Maynard, Edgar is undoubtedly one of the best 155-pound combatants on the planet. Despite being undersized for the division, the resilient 5-foot-6 competitor can reclaim the top prize with a successful outing against Henderson. However, the future for Edgar could be at 145 pounds as UFC president Dana White has continually expressed interest in a superfight pitting Edgar against featherweight wrecking machine Jose Aldo.

The Lloyd Irvin-trained UFC bantamweight champion has been shelved with a torn ACL, forcing him to pull out of a rubber match with Urijah Faber. Armed with a well-rounded arsenal of techniques, the 27-year-old Alliance MMA pupil is one of the quickest fighters in the division and his recent 10-fight winning streak has been highly impressive. A timetable for Cruz's return has yet to be set, but he'll be eyeing the winner of an interim title bout between Faber and Brazilian standout Renan Barao.

After narrowly edging Nick Diaz to win the interim UFC welterweight title, Condit has opted to wait for his opportunity to unify the 170-pound belts against undisputed king Georges St. Pierre this November. Following a close split decision setback against Martin Kampmann in his UFC debut, Condit has recorded five impressive victories to earn his crack at St. Pierre. Renowned for his finishing abilities and explosiveness, Condit has an opportunity to end St. Pierre's long welterweight reign of supremacy when the two clash this November in Montreal.

Eagerly awaiting his shot at UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, the 41-year-old legend Henderson can add a UFC title to his trophy case that already includes a Rings tournament victory, two Pride championships and a Strikeforce title. Rising to the occasion at the tail end of his career, Henderson is on a four-fight winning streak, including a pair of victories over Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua and Fedor Emelianenko, two of the greatest fighters of all time. The odds are stacked against him as he challenges the prodigy Jones for the title, but Henderson has overcome obstacles before and he's one fighter you can never count out. Win or lose at UFC 151, Henderson's legacy is unquestionable as he could go down in history as the most dominant American fighter of all time.
