Trey Farquhar added four field goals, including a 55-yarder just before halftime that tied a career high, for the Vandals (1-5), who got their 14th win in 19 tries against NMSU.
Andrew Manley threw for 309 yards with two interceptions for the Aggies (1-5, 0-2), including a 30-yard touchdown to Kemonte Bateman. Manley's 1-yard scoring run late in the fourth quarter, plus a two-point conversion, made it a one-possession game. The Vandals, however, recovered the ensuing onside kick and ran out the clock.
