Suns to a 99-74 victory over the Knicks in NBA Summer League action in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Morris had 10 of his 21 points in the first quarter as the Suns (1-0) jumped out to a 27-18 lead. DeShawn Sims had 16 points and Marcus Landry and Erving Walker added 12 apiece for the Suns. Point guard Diatne Garrett contributed eight points and 10 assists.
Morris told suns.com that he's more confident and comfortable in his offensive skills than as a rookie, when he averaged 7.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game: "I just take my time and let the game come to me. I just think that I can get whatever I want, and if I can keep that confidence up then it will be good for my game,” Morris said.
First-round draft pick Kendall Marshall signed his contract Sunday and is expected to join the Suns team in time for its next game on Tuesday against the Cavaliers.
