It was quiet in Section 104 at Chase Field in the sixth inning Friday. Too quiet.
Stadium officials moved all of the 100 or so fans out of that section during the Diamondbacks’ game against the Rockies after an unattended bag was spotted by a stadium usher. Fans were ushered into the concourse above the section while security was called.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office personnel checked the bag and cleared it, and the fans went back to their seats.
Not that the home fans missed much — the Rockies won the game 7-5 after scoring five runs in the seventh inning.
